This shower curtain kicks you out of the shower after 4 minutes

Updated

While we all enjoy a long shower from time to time, water shortages are becoming a huge issue in several states across the nation.

Being mindful of our water usage habits is becoming more critical, but Elisabeth Buecher is here to help: The artist designed a series of "water-saving shower curtains that inflate after being underwater for four minutes, taking over the space and discouraging long water-wasting showers."

Basically, if you spend more than four minutes in the shower, inflated tentacles in the shower curtain fill with air and turn into (soft) spikes that force you out of the water.

"These curtains are not really for marketing but aim at provoking a debate around water issues," Buecher told Mochi Magazine.
