This chilling note was left on a service member's car
A chilling note was left on a service member's car near Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Georgia on Wednesday. The note says that "attacks will come full force" and "death is to come to you."
The threatening note was found on the windshield of the car and is currently under investigation by the Cobb County Police Department. In all lowercase letters, the note reads:
"dear american soldier,
death to you coward women child killer and all the american military mohammad will show no mercy on you attacks will come full force death is to come to you."
This note was received one week after a military recruiting center and a base in Chattanooga, Tennessee were attacked. The shooter, 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, killed four marines and a sailor. He was killed by police at the site of the second shooting.
Since the attack, fearful civilians have begun taking up armed post outside of military recruiting centers in an effort to protect service members.
WAGA-TV reported that this note is a reproduction of one that has been posted to military Facebook pages. This threatening note proves that service members are the target of hatred and possible violence right now.
Authorities reportedly do not know who wrote the death-threat and military police are still investigating the incident.
