Viral photo of shelter dogs hugging leads to amazing outcome

The internet is a powerful place and helped save the lives of two shelter dogs in Atlanta, Georgia.

A heartbreaking photo was posted to the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue's Facebook page explaining that time was running out for two pups that were looking for a home. The post, which is seen below, shows the image of the two pups hugging it out, signaling a collective, "Oh my goodness, that is adorable!"

Kala who is a a hound mix, was seen with her arms wrapped around her friend Keira, a boxer mix, sending a message that they want to be adopted, and adopted together.

Naturally, the photo worked and was shared thousands of times, and luckily one amazing individual decided to adopt both Kala and Keira. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue updated the original posting, thanking all those who shared the picture.

"Exactly 2 hours and 6 minutes. That's how long it took this amazing community of animals lovers to come together to save the lives of two canine friends."

The power of social media can be quite strong and we are just happy Kala and Keira have found a home together!
