This 10-year-old baller wants to be the first woman to play in the NBA

10-Year-Old Jaden Newman Wants to Be the First Female Player in the NBA

Jaden Newman is a 10-year-old girl vowing to be the first woman in NBA history. Sure, this seems like a lot of talk for someone that wouldn't be eligible to play in the league for another nine years.

But his isn't just any ordinary 10-year-old dominating her peers.

Jaden is playing on Downey Christian School's varsity basketball team. She's been on the team since third grade. She'll be entering sixth grade next fall. This past season, she averaged 30.5 points per game.

She has a long way to go, but if we're better on any young woman to someday make it to the league, it's Jaden. We'll be keeping an eye out!
