Giant lobster found at Jordan Lobster Farms

It could be a meal fit for a king or perhaps an entire kingdom. But this giant lobster is not headed for the dinner table.

Jordan Lobster Farms in Long Island, New York is no stranger to king-sized crustaceans but this guy weighing in at 23 pounds is the talk of the town! When one of their vendors brought him into the restaurant they unpacked the crate and knew they had a celebrity on their hands.

Because of the size and weight, this creature of the sea is estimated to be about 95-years-old. This is surprisingly not unusual for lobsters living down deep in the ocean.

This lobster's seniority and size has earned him status as a main attraction in the Long Island Aquarium instead of as a main course.
