Running for political office often involves candidates waging attacks on their rivals, but those are typically limited to negative comments about policies and questionable decisions.

Donald Trump recently took it to a new level by divulging the personal cell phone number of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, an act he says he doesn't regret.

In a Fox & Friends interview on Wednesday, Trump explained, "I did it for fun, and everybody had a good time."

The real estate mogul also said Graham is the one who started it by calling him a 'jackass' earlier that same day during segments on both CBS andCNN.

Trump noted, "He calls me names, you have to fight back."

Graham appears to be taking the incident in stride.

After the number for his private line was announced to the world, he tweeted, "Probably getting a new phone. iPhone or Android?"

Then, a YouTube video was posted Wednesday from IJR, with the senator demonstrating how to destroy a cell phone:
