McQueen will play Jimmy Borelli, a new candidate at Firehouse 51 in the upcoming fourth season. Borelli makes a dramatic entrance on his first day at work that doesn't sit well with Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker).

McQueen is best known for playing Jeremy Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries for six seasons. He departed the series in February. He is repped by UTA and MGMT Entertainment.

Chicago Fire returns on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
