Impatient Queen Elizabeth II drives on grass to pass stunned family

Updated

An impatient Queen Elizabeth II sped past an astonished young family on Sunday in an effort to get to church. She reportedly drove onto the grass instead of waiting for the couple to get out of the way.

Scarlett Vincent and Toby Core were taking a leisurely stroll through Windsor Great Park with their son Teddy when the monarch drove her Jaguar onto the grass at top speed to get around the family. She was reportedly in a hurry to get to church when the event took place.

When the stunned couple pointed at the driver, she waved and smiled as she drove past them. The couple was reportedly left laughing hysterically when they realized the impatient driver was the Queen. Vincent told Daily Mail:

"We didn't actually have time to get out of the way as we were in a world of our own so she had to swerve around us. I just turned to Toby and said 'Oh my god, it's the Queen.' He was as shocked and surprised as I was. I pointed at the car and she just smiled at us and waved."

Despite her age, the 89-year-old monarch still enjoys driving her Jaguar to the church near the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate. Make way for the Queen! You might just get side passed.
