Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert headed for divorce

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Divorce

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are calling it quits.

After four years of marriage, Shelton, 39, and Lambert, 31, have filed divorce documents and are planning to end their marriage on Monday, TMZ reports.

Their swoon-worthy romance began in 2006 after the pair fell in love -- literally on-stage -- during their 2005 performance of "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" at the CMT 100 Greatest Duets concert. They started dating shortly after and became engaged in 2010. The happy couple wed in a rustic yet lavish ceremony on May 14, 2011, in the Texas Hill Country.

Sadly, cheating rumors and marriage drama have swirled around the couple for months. TMZ reports the pair filed for divorce several months ago in Oklahoma and they plan to split their properties equally. Lambert will take their Nashville home, while Shelton will hold onto their Oklahoma abode.

The couple released a statement Monday morning:

"This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
