"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." That epic sentence was uttered by NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong from the surface of the moon 46 years ago and was broadcast around the world.

According to Space.com, this month marks the 46th anniversary of the epic Apollo 11 flight that landed the first humans on the moon and safely returned them to Earth. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins launched from Florida on July 16, 1969. Armstrong and Aldrin ventured out onto the lunar surface on July 20, 1969.
