This proves that Minions are way more popular than Pluto

Minions are going bananas, and they overshadowed even Pluto.

We got a really, really close look at what we though was the most remote planet in the Solar System, but this is not what everybody is talking about.

In the few days prior the world premiere of the movie "Minions," prequel to "Despicable Me" everyone was talking about the little yellow, gibberish-speaking heroes, and after the Box Office registered a new record for the animated movie the world went even crazier for them.

We pulled this report from Google Trends, where you can see how the searches for Minions have skyrocketed, leaving the Dwarf Planet alone at the bottom of the graph.

Minions are by far the most trending item out there, from photos of their adorable cuteness all the way to controversies on allegedly cursing ones found in McDonald's Happy Meals.

Whether you like them or not, they are taking over the world, and outer space.
