'Bachelorette' suitor Ben H. comes clean about his 'secret'

For once, it wasn't Kaitlyn confessing a big secret on "The Bachelorette" Monday night.

During their overnight date, Ben H. had something he just had to come clean about -- something he's been keeping from her ever since he came on the show.

"You wanna hear something crazy?" asked Ben H. on "The Bachelorette." "Might as well share everything."

"I'm scared!" said Kaitlyn.

"My birthday was on this show," said Ben.

"What?!" said Kaitlyn. "When? Your 27th or your 26th?"

"26th," Ben answered.

Okay, phew! Ben was only coming clean about his real age.

The issue never really came up with Kaitlyn before, but Ben wanted to be completely honest with his 30-year-old leading lady before they took the next step in their relationship.

Unfortunately, his honesty didn't do him much good when the rose ceremony came around.

Kaitlyn ended up choosing Shawn and Nick over Ben, much to the dismay of pretty much everyone.

A writer for People said what we were all thinking after that: "Obviously Shawn and Nick both got roses even though, quite honestly, they are both scrubs. Ben for Bachelor. Ben for president!"

Bustle couldn't believe Kaitlyn gave Ben the boot after all he did for her during their romantic overnight date.
