The video above shows a couple arguing over the amount of time the husband plays with his video games. Key word here, arguing. A man from Germany decided to take that to the extreme.

One german man has been fined €500 (about $555) by the Western German city of Castrop-Rauxel for drugging his girlfriend so he could continue to play video games. Yes, you read that correctly.

The incident occurred in 2014 when the man slipped a sedative into his girlfriend's tea when she arrived home from work. When the thought of playing his video games came up between the couple, the man didn't even entertain the idea, Germany's Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper reports.

Even though he insisted the dosage was very low and he told the court "I only put four or five drops into her tea," the judge found it to be "deliberate assault."

According to TIME, the woman would doze off now and again and slept until noon. After the man told his girlfriend what he had done, they broke up shortly after.
