This announcement might not be as exciting as it was last year at this time, but LeBron James will indeed be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. After opting out of his deal following the season, which was a move that was expected, LeBron has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Cavaliers that carries a player option for next season.

Of course, just like we knew last year at this time, LeBron will more than likely use that player option following next season to opt out of the deal once again to collect even more cash. By the time the new television deal rolls around, he'll then be more than ready to set himself up for life.

After this season, which was a pretty successful one in his return, LeBron opted out of the deal and he gave the time to the Cavaliers to make the moves that he deemed necessary to keep this team in the hunt for a title. They re-signed Kevin Love and Iman Shumpert, and they seem rather close to giving Tristan Thompson, who was a beast in the NBA Playoffs, the money that he deserves. So for the most part, the Cavaliers did pretty much everything that LeBron wanted to see them do to keep the team in the hunt.

While the Cavaliers struggled to gel during the beginning of the season with this superstar squad, they ended up putting it all together by the end of the season and they made a solid run to the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, plagued by injuries by that time, they ran into a Golden State Warriors team that they just could not keep up with.

But, the good news is that LeBron and Co. will be back together in 2015-16 to try it all over again, and they'll certainly be one of the favorites to claim the title that eluded them recently heading into the season.
