Mr. Burns actor will return to The Simpsons after all
Great news for all you Simpsons fans out there. The voice of Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Smithers and many more, Harry Shearer, has indeed signed a deal to return to the comedy.
This exciting news comes on the heals of some drama between Shearer and the studio over his contract. In fact, back in May, Shearer took to Twitter so say he would not be returning to the show.
from James L. Brooks' lawyer: "show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best.". (1/2)

Luckily, all is now right in the town of Springfield! According to Entertainment Weekly, execs and Shearer smoothed things over and worked out a deal. Now loyal fans will be rewarded with the entire original cast, including Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria and now Harry Shearer.
He says he owes it all to his fans:
Said it at the beginning, even truer at the end: thanks to Simpsons fans for your support; wouldn't have happened w/out you!
