Jeff Goldblum welcomes first child
The Fourth of July now has even more meaning for Jeff Goldblum.
The 62-year-old actor, who will reprise his role as David Levinson in 2016's Independence Day: Resurgence, welcomed a son with wife Emilie Livingston on, appropriately, Saturday, the Fourth of July. The baby boy's name is Charlie Ocean Goldblum, and this is Goldblum's first child.

Goldblum, also known for his roles in Jurassic Park and Mortdecai, made the announcement on Facebook on Tuesday, posting a photo of the happy couple with their bundle of joy. "We're so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day," he wrote.
Goldblum and Livingston wed in November 2014 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. This is Goldblum's third marriage, following previous trips to the altar with his Silverado co-star Patricia Gaul and actress Geena Davis, with whom he appeared in three films, including 1986's The Fly.
