Teens are making themselves ugly in latest Twitter challenge
A new social media challenge has teens posting videos of themselves transforming from "ugly" to "beautiful."
The goal of the trend that brought the #dontjudgechallenge hashtag to life on Twitter is to rise against body shaming, but according to some it does just the opposite.
By showing how they transform from "ugly" to "beautiful" by getting rid of glasses, acne, unibrows and other features they might be actually reinforcing certain dangerous standards of beauty and ugliness that are not beneficial to their peers.
