Kelly Clarkson is about to hit the road again.

This summer, the original American Idol will embark on tour to promote her latest studio album, "Piece By Piece" -- her 3rd album to chart number one on Billboard. The "Piece By Piece" Tour will be supported by Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson.

Kelly has her fans anxiously awaiting what her tour will look like this year and has been keeping them at the edge of their seats with a countdown on Instagram.

She even posted this Insta video from a recent rehearsal.

It's no secret that Miss Independent is a true superstar vocalist.

Kelly has said again and again that she is a fan of all genres, not just pop and country. As an Idol alum, she enjoys singing almost anything, which led to a 'fan request' segment her and her music director started for the "Stronger" Tour in 2012. Fans tweet song cover requests to Kelly via Twitter and each night, she'll pick one to cover. The 'fan request' segment spices up the set list at every stop -- making each performance unique for that specific audience.

As a seasoned professional, Kelly has covered a wide variety of material. Here are some of our favorites.

Lady Gaga's "You And I"

Britney Spears' "Everytime"

Carrie Underwood's "I Know You Won't"

Katy Perry's "Wide Awake"

Sia's "Breathe Me"

Paramore's "The Only Exception"

Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful"

Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris"

Little Big Town's "Girl Crush"

Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"
