As if we needed really needed more confirmation that Lupita Nyong'o is one of the most amazing new faces in Hollywood, now she has a charitable new title: Global Elephant Ambassador.

The Academy Award-winning actress took to Instagram Wednesday to announce the news that she's teaming with WildAid, a wildlife conservation group whose "mission is to end the illegal wildlife trade in our lifetimes."

The group's mission statement continues:

While most wildlife conservation groups focus on protecting animals from poaching, WildAid works to reduce global consumption of wildlife products by persuading consumers and strengthening enforcement.

With an unrivaled portfolio of celebrity ambassadors and global network of media partners, WildAid leverages nearly $200 million in annual pro-bono media support. Our message reaches up to 1 billion people every week.

It's an amazing cause that Nyong'o seems incredibly excited to be supporting. Check out her hopeful Instagram post below:

In addition to spreading the message to be #IvoryFree, she's also going to be spreading awareness about women's issues and the arts. This partnership is especially meaningful for Nyong'o as she is originally from Kenya, a country that WildAid operates in:

I am proud of my Kenyan heritage, and part of that heritage is the incredible wildlife haven that is in our care," Ms. Nyong'o said. "I have come to realize that when you know more, you do more. I want to encourage people all over the world to learn more about these incredible animals.
