Match, Tinder, OK Cupid Joining Forces

What if you lived in a world where Tinder, OkCupid and formed one giant company? That shouldn't be too hard to picture, because it's actually happening.

Those three dating apps will be part of a publicly-traded company called The Match Group.The announcement comes as an initial public offering -- or IPO -- is being prepared. It's just funny to think of all three dating apps under the same roof, considering how different they are.

Match is for people who want to put a ring on it. Tinder is where you go for something quick and OkCupid is for people who like reading long, boring profiles.

The company will apparently go public by the end of 2015 -- so you can put a price on love. In 2013 the group of more than 40 brands earned 263 million in profits. Which you'd have to think would be even more if you could get people to not delete the apps after every date, only to re-download it two months later. Eventually, they all come back.
