Happy National Camera Day
June 29 is National Camera Day so we're taking a moment to appreciate those who take time to stop and take a snapshot of the roses. Cameras are a modern convenience that we easily take for granted. With the incredible technology of cell phone cameras you can snap pictures of anything and everything at your leisure.
Cameras have come a long way -- from being the size of an entire room, to being small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Although film is a dying breed, many photographers still use it as their medium of choice. Some shoot with expensive Leica or Hasselblad cameras and some use inexpensive plastic Holga cameras, which appeal to those who like perfectly imperfect photos. Even instant film has made a huge comeback.
In the age of the internet, digital photography is at its peak. You can strap a GoPro to your head while snowboarding or even have a drone camera follow you around.
