Protesting model gets punched in the face by designer Rick Owens

Rick Owens just proved that he's not a designer to be messed with.

During his latest fashion show on Thursday in Paris, a model from the designer's Spring 2015 presentation unfolded a sign asking to "Please kill Angela Merkel". The pseudo-assassination request was against Angel Merkel, the current German Chancellor. The model, identified as Jera, staged the silent protest mid-catwalk and left the entire audience stunned.

But that wasn't the end of the drama.

Shortly after Jera finished his strut and went backstage, Rick Owens reportedly punched the model in the face, an action that the designer himself admitted to in numerous publications. The model has since been dropped from his longtime agency.

Jera was reportedly Owens's muse for the past several years. Safe to say, Rick Owens is on the hunt for a new inspiration.
