Here is how you can get a free vacation house in Sicily
Sicily, the dream vacation spot of many around the world, is now letting you grab a free house with a view on Mount Etna.
The small and picturesque town of Gangi in fact is giving away its houses to whoever wants to live there in an attempt to counter the fast shrinking of its population that went from 16,000 in the 50s to 7,000 today.
But there is a catch.
Most of these houses are extremely old and they were abandoned generations ago.
The new owners will need to invest a lot of money for renovating such houses, but the call had quite good results, filling up a waiting list of people trying to grab the last 200 buildings left.
