The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible has been revealed and it's quite the looker

Updated

The new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is here, and it's quite the looker. The slick model will have consumers drooling.

Just imagine cruising down the highway top-down with the wind in your hair as onlookers gawk at the creases on that decklid.

The car operates extremely conveniently too with a fully automatic top that raises and lowers in 18 seconds. It beats the Ford Mustang in the top-drop-at-speed game too, hitting speeds up to 30 mph in contrast to the Mustang's mere 3 mph. Take that, Mustang.

Most importantly, the convertible does not sacrifice any legroom compared to the regular model. Hear that, guys? Even the tallest of the bunch can sit comfortably in this sexy new design. You can also look forward to a smooth ride, as chief engineer Al Oppenheiser assures us that the model won't struggle with "quivers, cowl shake, or an under-damped chassis typically found in a four-seat convertible."

Ready to purchase this bad boy? The convertible will be offered along with all of the coupe's available powertrains and trim levels. You might want to start color coordinating, because the top of this beauty will be available in black, blue, and dark brown.

It's not a bad idea to start saving, either. While we don't know the price of the convertible, we do know that the 2015 model cost between $5,100 and $6,000 more than other coupe products. This might just be a splurge worth breaking the bank for.
