Smoking near babies has same effects as smoking while pregnant
We already knew that smoking near toddlers was bad, but we never realized just how bad it was.
A new study from the University of Montreal and CHU Sainte Justine Research Centre revealed that kids who were exposed to smoke either in a continuous or intermittent way during their early childhood presented a wider body structure with a higher body mass index than other children in the same age range.
These results are the same that we would obtain from a test group composed of babies from mothers who smoked during their pregnancy as researcher Linda Pagani revealed in a previous study.
