Lupita Jones considers removing Mexico from the next Miss Universe pageant - thanks to Donald Trump.

Clearly Trump's remarks, labeling Mexico as a source of drugs, criminals and rapists did not go unnoticed. Lupita Jones, the first Mexican to win the title of Miss Universe, and now director of 'Nuestra Belleza Mexico,' which chooses its country's representatives, says she'd consider removing this year's hopeful Wendy Esparza.

She announced on Twitter that she contacted the President of the Miss Universe Organization, a joint venture of Donald Trump and NBC Universal, to clarify its position.

Jones added that she was guaranteed Mexico would be treated with "integrity and dignity." "It wouldn't be right to send someone to a place where they could be met with disrespect. They have assured me [that won't happen]. If at any moment, things change, I would consider not having Mexico participate."

It's still unclear if Mexico will be removed from Miss Universe 2015.
