CBS preps for reshoot of legal drama pilot 'Doubt' (EXCLUSIVE)

Updated

By Variety:

"Doubt," the CBS TV Studios legal drama pilot that did not land a series order in May, is poised for another go at the network.

CBS was moving last week to lock in final details for the pilot to be reshot this fall, putting it on the fast-track for series contention, according to sources. The script is currently being re-written by original scribes, "Grey's Anatomy" duo Tony Phelan and Joan Rater.

CBS declined comment.

Director Adam Bernstein is still attached to the project, along with numerous original cast members although re-casting changes are expected. The original pilot featured Teddy Sears, KaDee Strickland, Dule Hill and Laverne Cox.

"Doubt" revolves around a female lawyer who becomes romantically involved with one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.
