Target's refreshing new swimsuit campaign features real women

Apparently you don't need to be a supermodel to look great in a bathing suit. While we wouldn't know this given the plethora of bathing suit advertisements in the media that only spotlight size 0 women with the exact same height and shape, Target has finally revealed the truth.

The brand's latest campaign features female fashion bloggers of all different shapes and sizes (there's even racial and ethnic diversity in the group!) on the hunt for the perfect swimsuit. The campaign is titled: "A Fit for Every Body" and aims to provide flattering swimwear for all bodies, not just the lucky few.

Each woman in the campaign acknowledges body parts that provoke insecurity. However, they all learn to love their bodies and to remain positive and accepting once they discover which type of swimsuit fits them best.

Hopefully Target will lead the way for the rest of the fashion industry to celebrate body diversity. Swimsuits can bring out our worst insecurities, and generic swimsuit campaigns don't boost our egos. With this campaign, Target shows us that anyone and everyone can reveal some skin and still feel beautiful and confident.
