'Modern Family' star Ty Burrell offers to be fan's dad for a day
Just in time for Father's Day, Ty Burrell is offering himself up to be an honorary dad for the day.
As part of a competition that benefits the charity Kids in the Spotlight, the actor will meet with the winner and his/her friend to tour the set of Modern Family, play catch, eat lunch and talk about the day's events just like any lovely father would. The winner will also be flown to Los Angeles and be put up in a 4-star hotel.
Kids in the Spotlight is a non-profit organization that trains youth (ages 11-17) in foster care programs to create, write, cast and star in their own 10-minute short films.
To celebrate the competition, Burrell filmed an adorable, awkward and totally Phil-like "Father's Day cheer" to get fans motivated to sign up. Watch it below:
