Brian Williams Will Return to NBC but Not As 'Nightly News' Anchor

Brian Williams will not be returning to the anchor chair at NBC Nightly News.

The anchorman was suspended in February for six months for exaggerating stories about his experiences in a war zone. An internal investigation by NBC reportedly found 10 to 12 additional instances of exaggerating.

Lester Holt, who has been filling in for Williams, will now assume the role full time. Williams is not being fired. He'll be given a role at MSNBC, the network's cable news channel.

No word about the pay cut Williams will face. He had been pulling down $10 million a year.
