Real estate mogul Donald Trump wants another mogul on his White House ticket: Oprah.

"I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," the newly-declared candidate told ABC News in his first interview since Tuesday's presidential announcement.

"I think we'd win easily, actually," he added. Oprah has yet to respond to the call.

It's not the first time he's floated Winfrey as a potential running mate. The Hill notes he made similar suggestions when he discussed running for office in 1999.

Tuesday's announcement was Trump's first official move into politics after years of flirting with running for office. He's been a boisterous freelance pundit during those years, regularly sounding off on political issues in interviews, speeches, and across social media -- but now says to join the fray.

"All of my life, I have heard, a truly successful person, a really successful person, and even a modestly successful person, cannot run for public office, just can't happen," Trump said in his announcement. "Yet that's the kind of mindset you need to make this country great again."

Trump is currently the 12th high-profile Republican to declare his intentions to run for the White House in 2016.
