Decoded: Turnt up
Although "turnt up" may seem interchangeable with its verb counterpart "turn up," it's a word that stands on its own. The noun refers to an altered state of consciousness induced by alcohol or excitement.
And even though there isn't really a cut and dry answer as to who created the term first, we do know one thing -- whoever did, kicked off a vocabulary phenomenon.
