Three young siblings from Australia are on a quest to see the world, but sadly, they may not have much time to complete their journey.

All of them are affected by a rare genetic disorder that causes blindness, and the time before it completely takes hold is becoming shorter.

Matthew, Samuel, and Kathryn White, who are ages 8, 11, and 13, respectively, inherited the retinal condition from their mother, who has already lost her vision.

In her case, sight began to fade at the age of 5, and by the time she married her high school sweetheart, blindness had almost entirely set in.
Though researchers are working to find a cure, it's unknown how many more years that will take, or if the research will remain funded until a successful outcome has been reached.

To ensure their children don't miss the opportunity to see some of the planet's most awe-inspiring sights, the family is traveling the globe.

They've already made it to the Grand Canyon and have gone zip lining in New Zealand.

Future destinations include the Eiffel Tower, New York, and places with snow.
