Derek Jeter's #RE2PECT gear is certainly not cheap these days
By JOHN DORN
Remember former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter? Yes, of course you do. Remember his mildly awesome Jordan #RE2PECT gear? Well, if that just reminded you to nostalgia-hop over to eBay and scoop some up, you might be out of luck.
The line has been much less available after Jeter's retirement from baseball. Pieces still exist on secondary markets like eBay, but at not-exactly-affordable price points.
The hottest item from last year's line, the pinstriped edition of the Air Jordan Retro I, is currently up for a modest Buy It Now price of $848. Free shipping, though!
Hey, two pairs were sold. Hurry, before those last two leave the shelves. It's okay to pass, though, perhaps you'd be interested in this $65 cap. There are two available!
So, yeah, the time to buy these items may have been when they were in stores, even at bloated retail prices. But don't get too down. There are still $40 t-shirts available! New with tags!
