'The Smurfs' is a beloved comic turned television series, turned film franchise.

People can't get enough of those adorable blue characters.

Which is why Sony decided to revisit the popular cartoon and create 'Get Smurfy,' a computer-animated reboot.

The new film will be rooted in the original style of Smurfs creator Peyo Culliford, and will follow Smurfette and her brothers as they search for a legendary Smurfs village.

Other changes include those made to the cast. Katy Perry was the voice of Smurfette in the previous two films. The character will now be voiced by Demi Lovato.

The Office's Rainn Wilson is taking over the role of Gargamel, and Mandy Patinkin (Homeland, Criminal Minds) will voice Papa Smurf.
