Boomer on Cam Newton's Contract: 'It's Good to Be Young'

With his lucrative new contract now in place, apparently Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is spending some of that dough on some interesting footwear.

Saturday night a benefit was held for Newton's foundation and the Pro-Bowler decided to show up wearing these particular pair of shoes, which are highlighted by the fact that not only are they gold, but they have pretty dangerous spikes as well.

Hey, no one ever argued that Newton didn't have some style to his game, but this is taking things to an entirely different level. You have to wonder what one thinks when they pick out a pair like this, but as we've found out throughout the years, Cam Newton is his own person; if he wants to buy some gold shoes with spikes on them, then he's gonna buy some gold shoes with spikes on them.

Newton and the Panthers recently came to an agreement on a new deal that will pay the former first-round draft pick in excess of $103 million. He helped lead the team to the NFC South title in 2014 and they even earned a Wild Card round playoff victory.
