Cyndi Lauper Signs Autographs As Madonna

If you didn't know better, you might think Cyndi Lauper was Madonna. That may sound bizarre, but some people who run into the rockers in real life actually confuse one for the other.Madonna and Cyndi Lauper each rose to fame in the '80s with female centric pop anthems -- and they both loved a good crinoline.

Nowadays, their careers are arguably different, but for some people, it appears the girl that just wants to have fun might as well be the material girl.

Lauper tells BBC's Graham Norton that rather than correcting people when they ask for Madge's autograph, she obliges. "It happens to me once in a while. I just sign Madonna. I don't care and as long as I don't talk I get away with it."

Moral of the story: If you framed that copy of Madonna's John Hancock, there's a decent chance it's from another living legend.
