Boeing plane's incredible takeoff has social media buzzing

Boeing released a remarkable video on Thursday showcasing its 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. It starts with what seems like an almost-vertical takeoff of the plane.

The company notes the video was taken during rehearsal for the 2015 Paris Air Show. Filmed above Moses Lake, Washington, the plane can be seen performing many impressive technical maneuvers.

But it's the takeoff that has social media buzzing.

A 767 pilot told CNN, "Some of what you're seeing on takeoff is a trick of perspective...It looks like the takeoff is at a near vertical 90 degree angle — trust me it's not."

The Paris Air Show runs from June 15-21.
