These Insta-legs display the beauty in diversity

Updated

Former photo editor for the New York Times Stacey Baker has dipped her toes...and legs...into an inspired Instagram project.

Introducing Citi Legs, Baker's Instagram series of women photographed from the waste down. Not only do these women's legs portray various shapes and sizes, but the images seem to somehow capture their personalities as well. Each woman's intricately-clad and unique legs tell the story of who she is and how she expresses herself.

In an email to Slate, Baker said:

"As cheesy as it sounds, I do kind of think it's a celebration of the female figure."

These women own their bodies and seem to radiate confidence despite the fact that we can only see their legs. It's an assorted collection that incorporates many shapes, races, and styles. Together, the series celebrates human diversity and female empowerment.
