Spelling Bee co-champion Gokul Venkatachalam was a hit at the Scripps National Spelling Bee this year for not just winning the event but for dripping with swag the entire time. He had a hype video the riffed on LeBron James' chalk celebration and he was rocking some fresh kicks the entire time.

You don't just show up to the Spelling Bee in Jordan XI's and go unnoticed — especially when you're the best speller in the room.

Naturally, the hype around Gokul died down after the Spelling Bee ended and our short attention spans locked in on other things, but there was someone who didn't forget. Gokul may not be the media darling he once was, but LeBron James did not forget the love he showed and hooked the champ up.

Here's just part of what he was hooked up with thanks to a show care package that LeBron James sent his way after the Spelling Bee.

For reference, the shoes that Gokul received range in price from $120-$200. So to say he got hooked up is understating things.

Gokul has stated that he wants a shoe deal, and it's really not that hard to see him getting one. It's not often that Spelling Bee champs get endorsement deals from major companies like Nike, but his mass appeal and the popularity of the Spelling Bee each year seems to make endorsement deals a no-brainer.

For now, Gokul will probably be more than happy to settle with these.
