1. The United States is preparing to send hundreds of troops to Iraq, setting up a new base in the Anbar province. To support Iraqi troops in the fight against ISIS, the Obama Administration is emphasizing that these are not combat troops. Read more here, and see photos from the G-7 summit below.


2. The search for two escaped convicts intensified Wednesday as reports of two men walking along the road brought scores of police officers to a small town in New York. Unfortunately the search returned no results and police are still on the hunt for the maximum security inmates. Read more here.


3. The officer involved in the pool party incident in McKinley, Texas has resigned. McKinley Police Chief Greg Conley said that officer Casebolt's actions were "indefensible" and that he was "out of control." The officer's actions are under investigation, and it is still to be determined if any charges will be brought against him. Read more here.


4. No more violence in Syria, please: The Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a bill that condemns violence in the war-torn country. It denounces the use of chemical weapons and asks for the State Department to send reports to Congress about crimes against humanity there. Read more here.
