While our news feeds are consistently flooded with cute proposal videos, one man went down a more creative route and decided to record his heart rate while he proposed to his girlfriend.

It's practically common knowledge that your heart rate goes through the roof when you're nervous, and there are few events more nerve wracking then initiating a marriage proposal. So, it was only natural that the man's heart rate absolutely skyrocketed.

The man's recording of his heart rate went viral when he posted it to Reddit this past December. He recorded 40 minutes of data, and GOOD Magazine turned his heart rate data into this 90-second video:
