See Who Made Bethenny Frankel Break Down in Tears on 'RHONY'

One of the major themes of this season of "The Real Housewives of New York" has been Bethenny Frankel's reluctance to spend a lot of time with the other women.

So, she decided to prove them wrong during Tuesday night's episode by surprising everyone and showing up to Dorinda Medley's birthday party in the Berkshires.

But after what happened during dinner, we're guessing Bethenny wished she had just stayed home instead.

"Like, every time I say something nice to you, you're like, 'Oh, my God, like, I don't want any. Don't give me new food. Don't give me this, don't give me that,'" said Heather Thomson on "The Real Housewives of New York."

"All right, I'm gonna tell you why. No, because I feel like you're trying to, like, tend to me. We don't really know each other," said Bethenny Frankel.

"I can tell you what I want to BLEEPING tell you," said Heather.

"Heather, Heather, Heather," said LuAnn de Lesseps.

"Fine, fine, fine. So crazy," said Heather.

Nothing goes better with sushi than tears, right ladies?

It's been pretty clear since the beginning of this season that Heather Thomson is not Bethenny's biggest fan, and they've butted heads more than once already.

So when Bethenny arrived unannounced at Dorinda's party, Heather looked less than pleased.

And things only got worse when Heather made a big deal about getting Bethenny something else to eat during the sushi dinner because she's allergic to fish.

You can probably guess how the rest went — Bethenny refused Heather's help, Heather got offended, Bethenny accused Heather of trying to smother her, Heather told her to lighten up and the tears started flowing on both ends.

Yeesh. From what we can tell, Heather is just trying so hard to get Bethenny's approval and friendship.

But as a writer for Bustle notes, being overbearing is clearly not the way into her good graces.

"In addition to the personal turmoil Bethenny is experiencing right now, she has also just had an incredibly difficult upbringing. ... For that reason, Bethenny has become an intensely independent and obstinate person. It's no wonder that Heather's mothering would repel her."

And Perez Hilton said what we were all thinking: "Bethenny Frankel has always been the rock during her four seasons of 'Real Housewives of New York,' and while we've seen her break down before, it's never been for this reason."

Hopefully, all this drama doesn't drive an even bigger wedge between Bethenny and the rest of the housewives as the season progresses. Tune in next week to witness the aftermath.
