Notoriously tough dance-instructor and reality star Abby Lee Miller wowed fans in the Spring when she debuted a more toned physique.
You might assume dancing had something to do with the transformation but you'd be wrong. If you guessed diet and exercise had something to do with it, you're mistaken. So, what does that leave? Weight loss surgery? Nope. How about diet pills? Wrong again.
The real reason for the dramatic change will surprise you. The "Dance Moms" star revealed to People that she dropped pounds because of her diabetes medication. Miller says she got her prescription filled at a pharmacy in Australia while she was filming for her show and the pills were making her sick.
"I would take this medicine and within an hour, I was vomiting like I was in fourth grade and had the flu or like I had food poisoning. It was awful. After I would throw up, I couldn't even look at food for the rest of the day."
Miller says she didn't set out to lose weight but people seem pleased to see her slim down.
Now, while we're all 'ra-ra-ra' for being healthy, losing weight from being sick to your stomach isn't the best way to go about it. If you're serious about trimming the fat, according to fitness expert Don Saladino, it's about proper nutrition, the right amount of exercise and quality sleep.
