"Bae" is the term that's been taking over social media lately, so what does it mean? Bae stands for "before anyone else."

Your significant other? That's bae.

According to the Oxford Dictionary (yes, it's really in there), the definition of "bae" is:

A person's boyfriend or girlfriend (often as a form of address): I'm going to see my bae

While technically the title of "bae" is reserved for a romantic partner, it can be used to joke around about what you're really committed to in life. Like to sleep? Bed is bae. Love pizza? Then pizza is totally your bae.
