'Jeopardy!' Champ Gives Epic Wrong Response

When a two-time "Jeopardy!" champ had no idea what the correct response was to a Final Jeopardy clue, he decided to go for an epically wrong response.

Monday night's Final Jeopardy clue apparently was a pretty hard one; "A Christian hymn and a Jewish holiday hymn both titled this, also the name of a 2009 Tony-nominated musical."

None of the contestants were able to get it right, and neither could returning champion Choyon Manjrekar. But rather than guess and look foolish, he gave a beautifully incorrect response: "Kinky Boots."

The correct response was "Rock of Ages. Manjrekar luckily didn't wager anything so he still won the day.

This isn't the greatest wrong answer we've ever seen. Back in September, Elizabeth Williams was stumped by this clue: "In 1937 his sister said he had 'hats of every description' which he would use as a 'foundation of his next boo.k'"

The other contestants failed to come up with a response, but rather than leave her board blank, Williams pulled out this old trick: "Who is someone who has never been in my kitchen."

"Cheers" fans recognized the line from a season eight episode where Cliff Clavin appears on "Jeopardy!" and gives the same equally wrong response. Unlike Cliff, Williams didn't wager it all and still managed to win the day.
