'Dancing man' becomes guest of honor at major Hollywood party
A U.K. man who was dubbed "dancing man" after being fat-shamed by awful Internet trolls says he just had the night of his life getting his groove on with hundreds of new friends and supporters in Hollywood.
All eyes were on Sean O'Brien as he danced throughout the night at Avalon in Hollywood. It was a far better reaction to his dancing one night in March at a London club -- when complete strangers laughed, took pictures of him dancing and posted them online with body-shaming messages.
Pharrell Williams presented the guest of honor with a flash mob dance routine of his song "Happy." Ellie Goulding, Moby, singer Andrew WK and Meghan Trainor were among the super-star guest list.
O'Brien says all this extra attention isn't going to his head — but his plans to help others.
O'Brien has inspired the Dance Free Movement, which became a body positive, anti-cyber bullying site after his story went viral."I'll never feel like a celebrity... but it's not about me. It's about doing what we can to help others ... I'm just lucky and blessed to be here ... There's so much good in the world we need to harness it," he said.
