Mason Brumley has a very special relationship with his pet chicken, Snowflake.

Typically when the eight-year-old puts his arms out for a hug the chicken runs in for a close hug. This time after Mason's haircut the two embrace, but she quickly moves away. She appears to inspect the haircut and after the approval the chicken comes in for a long hug with the best reaction.

Mason and Snowflake have an adorable bond, she greets him when he comes home from school, and even helps him with his homework.

But the duo weren't always best friends, Mason brought the chicken home from school in 2011 after they hatched chicks in his classroom. As they began spending time together Snowflake became more friendly and now whenever Mason puts his arms out to greet her, she runs up for an hug and rests her head on his shoulder.

Mason's mom, Gretchen, keeps track of their friendship on a Love Bird Facebook page where she posts images and videos of the best friends.
