Former NFL Linebacker Adrian Robinson Dies At 25


Former NFL linebacker Adrian Robinson died Saturday night at the age of 25.Robinson started his professional sports career with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012. Then went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and the Washington Redskins before signing with the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats last month.

"Adrian was a beloved father, son, brother, friend and teammate," Robinson's representatives announced in a statement posted to Facebook Sunday night. "We ask that you please respect his family's privacy during this difficult time, and especially keep his daughter Avery Marie in your prayers. Thank you for all of your support and consideration."

No further details about his death were provided.



Robinson attended Temple University, where he played in every game during his four seasons. The University tweeted on Sunday, "It's a sad day for the Temple Athletics Family as we mourn the loss of Adrian Robinson."

Redskins linebacker Will Compton tweeted that Robinson was "a good dude" and that Compton enjoyed playing with him.

NFL tight end Steve Maneri, who also attended Temple University, said, "Adrian Robinson was a good kid and a hell of a football player..only 25 smh..RIP brother."

A former Temple University player created a GoFundMe page to help out Robinson's only daughter.
