Anna Kendrick challenges James Corden to 'Pitch Perfect' riff-off

Anna Kendrick Challenges James Corden to Sing-Off

Anna Kendrick visited The Late Late Show Friday night and, in her charming-because-it's-Anna way, challenged host James Corden to a Pitch Perfect-style riff-off.

"I hear you've been telling people that you're the best a cappella singer town," Kendrick says, clearly not allowing that to stand -- even if Corden has starred on Broadway, won a Tony and acted with her in that little musical movie Into the Woods.

The British comedian clearly had to accept the challenge after Anna yelled, "I think this audience wants to see me kick your ass!"

Throwing on a track suit bearing his name across the back, Corden, 36, was joined by The Philharmonics for a rendition of *Nsync's "Bye Bye Bye."

Not to be outdone, Kendrick, 29, challenged him with Ludacris' "Move Bitch Get Out the Way." After Corden followed-up with Bell Biv DeVoe's "Poison," thePitch Perfect 2 star sang Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield."

The two were able to join forces for the last round of songs, performing a medley of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" and Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine."

Needless to say, the competition was more delightful than cutthroat. Watch the entire riff-off in the video below.

We're glad the two could share the a cappella crown, but we do miss the two of them belting out songs while bounding through a forest full of chirping birds, creepy trees and blinding fog.

Here's to hoping this scores Corden a part in Pitch Perfect 3.
